We as a church believe that our community outreach is our way of connecting people with the love of Jesus! We are all over the community in service and invite you to join us! Kingdom Church has many connections in our community:Helping Hands Food Ministry
This community ministry serves more than 125 families and individuals in our area. Various types of perishable food and staple products are provided on the first Tuesday of the month. Volunteers are needed starting at 8:30 a.m. to sort products. The afternoon needs volunteers to carry items out for the families. See the faces too often forgotten in our world and give them God’s love – and food. Interested? Call the church office.
Clothes Closet
Is helping the homeless or others in need of basic clothing a passion of yours? The Clothes Closet provides free clothing and shoes for men, women, children, and infants in the community (and when requested, to countries abroad like Honduras, Mexico, and the Philippines). Gently-worn clothes, plus new underwear, socks, and diapers are available. Of course, to provide these items, volunteers are needed to collect them from various sources, prepare them, and staff the facility.
The Clothes Closet is located in a house on South Main Street, across from the church, and is staffed on Saturday mornings. Interested? Call the church office.
Prison Ministry
This ministry seizes the moment to minister to prisoners in medium security prisons. You can become part of this program that serves people too often forgotten. Training is provided for those who are willing to accept this challenging and rewarding mission. Our church participates in special weekends by providing cookies, prayer, place mats, financial donations, etc. Interested? Call the church office.
Special Olympics
Can you coach? Even if you can’t, you can love and encourage the athletes at Special Olympics as they run their races and/or receive their medals. Timers, huggers, escorts, cheerers, and event helpers are always in demand. Special Olympics is held the 2nd Saturday of April. Interested? Call the church office.
Labor of Love
Can you “swing a hammer” and hit a nail? Do you enjoy “fixing” things for those who can’t do for themselves? We are always in need of those who are willing to serve through helping people in the community with home repairs. These services are scheduled on an “as-requested” basis.
